Where this list comes from
1,021 tracks by 420 artists, 26 genre tags, every one with an artist, a title, a year and a genre. 48 of its 1,021 tracks are dated outside the 1970s: the list follows the sound of the decade, so a record from 1968 or 1988 can belong to it. 0 are dated only to the artist's active years (shown c.) and 1 are live recordings. The list was built in August 2026 from the older era lists these addresses carried, audited for duplicates and invented video links, and dated and tagged by hand-checked rules; it is generated, and this page is generated from it (song/tools/mksong547.py).
Each song links out to a search on YouTube, YouTube Music, Spotify, Apple Music and Discogs, built from the artist and the title (a video link only where one survived the audit: 120 here). Nothing is hosted here, nothing is rated, and there are no lyrics. Sing this opens the singing trainer with the song named; it shows your pitch and does not know the melody.
The 7 artist sets (from sing.com.im, recomputed on this list) are groupings by artist and nothing more: each is every track here by the acts its rule names, and it is named for that rule (how many acts, and a genre word where the rule has one), never for a popularity nobody measured. The year range, the search, the genre, the set and the order live in the page's address, so a filtered view can be bookmarked or shared.
Years are the year of first release; a year shown as c. 1993 is the artist's active year where the record could not be pinned down. Press / to search, r to shuffle.
