Cities · thirteen registers

Places, kept
as registers.

New York, Los Angeles, Miami and Milwaukee, each written as a book rather than a brochure, every record carrying its own notes and every picture framed and credited. No affiliate links, no sponsored rooms, and nothing on any of these pages was placed by somebody who paid to be there.

What they share

Written down, not scraped.

Every entry in these registers was placed by hand and carries its own note. Nothing is ranked by an algorithm, nothing was paid for, and no picture is stock — where a photograph exists it is credited to whoever took it, and where one does not, the card says so rather than borrowing a stranger's.
