Method

Where every conference comes from.

The sources

The open register is confs.tech, a community-maintained, MIT-licensed list of conferences anyone can read, correct or add to, published as JSON on GitHub with no key. It is shown as the register publishes it and is not re-checked event by event. The hand-checked set is 20 business conferences kept from what conf.llc carried before, each only because its organiser’s own page showed it. 15 were re-read against that page on 29 September 2026: 10 confirmed, 1 corrected, 4 could not be read.

Fetched and computed

The register’s topic files are read on labs.llc’s server, never in your browser: Open register read 5 h ago (2 Oct 2026, 21:08 UTC): 46 of 46 topic files answered. A page view that finds the read more than six hours old starts one new read after the page is sent, and a read that comes back thin never replaces a good one. Computed when you load the page: what is still to come (a conference drops once its last day has passed everywhere on Earth), every count, and whether a call for papers is still open.

The limits

Dates, venues and prices are the organiser’s to change: check their page before you book. The register covers this year and next. A call for papers counts as open only while its published closing date is ahead; a link without a date says so. The hand-checked set is not added to; when its last conference has passed, the pages say it has run out.

What you type

Nothing. There is no form here: the filters work on the page you already have. The site’s analytics records a page view. No account and no cookie of this page’s own; the edition switch keeps one word, paper or dark.
