Every number on this page comes off that wire as-is. When a game has no posted line, the card says so; when the wire is down, the board says that instead of pretending. Nothing here is synthesized, and nothing here takes a bet — the line is shown so the game reads richer, not to send you anywhere.

Lines are the sportsbook's own published numbers, carried on the wire for information — this page neither places nor links bets. A live game whose line has been pulled shows off the board.
The bets
Between them they are most of sports betting. Not every card carries all three — a UFC bout is priced on the moneyline alone — and a card shows only what the book has actually posted. Here is how to read each one — and how to read the odds themselves.
Spread
A handicap. DET -6.5 means Detroit must win by seven or more for a bet on them to win; the other side, +6.5, wins if the underdog loses by six or fewer — or wins outright. The half point is there to stop a tie: at −6.5 the bet cannot land exactly on the number. A whole-number spread — −7 — can, and a win by exactly seven is a push: nobody wins and the stake comes back. Baseball and hockey fix it at 1.5 and call it the run line / puck line.
Moneyline
No handicap — just who wins the game. The price carries the handicap instead: a favourite at -180 pays little, an underdog at +150 pays well. It is the one the card's ML column shows.
In soccer it has three ways, not two: the two sides and the draw, each priced separately, because a match can end level. EPL and MLS cards on this board show all three — a bet on a side wins only if that side wins in normal time. A UFC bout is the other extreme: the moneyline is the only market the book posts.
Total (over / under)
A bet on the combined score, no side taken. The book posts a number — say O/U 44.5 — and you take the over or the under. It is why a blowout can still be a sweat: the total does not care who is winning.
Reading the odds
American odds are prices, not predictions. Both sides of a spread usually sit near -110: each side risks 110 to win 100, and that gap is the book's margin — the vig). When a card shows an opened figure struck through beside the current one, that is line movement — the market changing its mind between the open and now. Odds are a price a book has published — not a forecast, and not a consensus. This page carries them as information and nothing else.
Method
Scores, clocks, situations and lines all ride ESPN's public scoreboard feed — the same one their own site draws. It is keyless and CORS-open, so this page fetches it browser-direct: no relay, no server of ours in the path, no account, nothing sent about you beyond the request itself.
Betting numbers on the wire are a sportsbook's published lines (DraftKings, credited on each card). EZ SCORE shows them verbatim — spread, moneyline, total, and where each opened. It never averages, estimates or fills a gap: a game without a posted line says so.
The feed is unofficial — no SLA, and it can change shape. The parser reads it defensively, and when the wire cannot be read the board says the wire is down over a stale-marked last reading. No score, clock or line on this page is ever synthesized.
The wire is re-read every 30 seconds only while a live game is on the board you are looking at. Finished boards and future days are fetched once. Team marks are ESPN's own scoreboard logos, hotlinked plainly from their CDN and credited here.
