Reading the feed…

What a result line carries

The winner is the fighter the feed flags as the winner. The method is the feed’s own entry, which it labels an unofficial winner; the feed writes a knockout or a stoppage as one word, printed here as KO/TKO, and submission and decision as themselves. The round and the clock are the ones the feed recorded when the bout ended.

When a bout went to the scorecards and the feed carries them, each fighter’s three totals are listed in the feed’s order. The feed does not name the judges and does not say whether a decision was unanimous or split, so this page does not label it.

The feed does not carry every field for every bout. When it was read on 28 September 2026 across UFC, PFL and Other, 256 finished bouts were on it: 255 had a winner flagged, 178 carried a method and 65 carried the judges’ totals (one more carried a single scorecard line for each fighter and no judge by judge breakdown, which is not printed as one). A missing field is printed as missing.

How far back it reads

The page opens on the last 45 days for UFC, 90 for PFL and 60 for Other. The button under the list reads the same span again, further back, and adds what it finds. Each reading is one request to the feed; if one fails, what was already read stays and the page says which reading did not answer.

Results here are the feed’s and are unofficial. The official result of a bout is the one recorded by the athletic commission that regulated it, and a result can be changed after the night, for instance overturned to a no contest. If the feed has not been corrected, this page has not been either.

An event whose date has passed with no result on the feed is listed with that said, and a bout still marked scheduled long after its start reads “No result on the wire”. The card page shows the latest card in full and the weight classes page gives the limit for each division.

Method

Where the numbers come from.

Two ESPN feeds, read by your browser

Cards, schedule and results: ESPN’s scoreboard feed, site.api.espn.com/apis/site/v2/sports/mma/{ufc|pfl|other}/scoreboard. Lines: ESPN’s odds feed, sports.core.api.espn.com/v2/sports/mma/leagues/{league}/events/{event}/competitions/{bout}/odds, one request per bout, three at a time. Both are public and keyless, and both are unofficial and undocumented: ESPN publishes no terms or licence for them and can change or withdraw them without notice.

Fetched, computed, dated

Fetched and printed as the feed carries them: names, records, countries, winners, methods, rounds, clocks, judges’ totals and prices. Computed here, and labelled so: break-even percentages and the bookmaker’s margin from a pair of moneylines, kilograms from pounds. Read once and dated: the weight limits (NAC 467.7956), the divisions (ufc.com/rankings) and the ABC’s Unified Rules, all read 28 September 2026.

Limits

Results are the feed’s and unofficial; the regulating commission’s record is the official one. A draw and a no contest look the same on the scoreboard: no winner flagged. One bookmaker is one bookmaker. A reading stops at 1,000 events and says so. While a card is under way the scoreboard is read again every 30 seconds; a request that has not answered in 15 seconds is abandoned and reported, and a dropped reading stays on screen, faded, with its time.

What stays with you

Your browser asks ESPN directly: nothing passes through labs.llc’s server and no copy of a card is kept. Two small values stay in your browser: the edition (labs_edition, also a cookie) and the promotion you last picked (ez.mma.league). The filter box searches the reading on your screen and sends nothing. labs.llc’s own analytics tag counts the visit. Odds are information, not advice: no betting links, no picks.

The whole method, every source with its read date, and what the desk cannot tell you: method, sources and limits.
