A shuffle that is actually random
Picks come from crypto.getRandomValues with rejection sampling, dealt out of a shuffled bag — so every track in the filtered set comes up once before any track comes up twice.
Links that resolve
Each track links to YouTube, YouTube Music, Spotify, Apple Music and Discogs. The links are built from the artist and title when the page draws them, so they cannot rot the way a stored video id does.
A set list, and a trainer
Add any song to one set list shared by all five lists, reorder it, export it as text. Sing this opens the singing trainer with the song named above it.
The list is in the page
Each list page carries its own tracks, so it works without a second request. The paper and dark editions are labs.llc's switch in the header.

One list for all five lists and this page, kept in this browser only (under labs.song.setlist, up to 200 songs); a change in another tab shows here too. Nothing is sent anywhere.
What the song book holds, and what it does not
5,018 tracks: The Sixties 961, The Seventies 1,021, The Eighties 974, The Nineties 1,105, Techno 957. 2,421 different artists (an artist in two lists is counted once; the five lists' own counts add up to 2,633). Every track has an artist, a title, a year and a genre.
The four decade lists follow the sound of their decade, not the calendar: 299 of their 4,061 tracks are dated outside it, and each list is headed with the years its own tracks span. Techno is not a decade: its tracks run from 1975 to 2019.
The lists were generated in August 2026 from the older era lists these addresses carried (duplicates removed, invented video links dropped, dates and genres checked), and these pages are generated from them. sing.com.im's song book (1,715 songs from the same older lists) joined this one in 2026: 1,714 of its songs are here, and its Sing this links open the same song. Nothing is hosted here, nothing is rated, and there are no lyrics. labs.llc counts visits with its analytics tag, as on every page.
