How each fee was read
This desk holds 51 jurisdictions, 103 cited pages on government domains, and no figure that was not read on one of them. Here is what was read, when, what "not read" means, and what this desk is not.
What was read
For each jurisdiction a researcher opened the state's own pages: the Secretary of State or the division of corporations for the formation fee and the periodic report, and the department of revenue, the comptroller or the franchise tax authority for an annual tax. The researcher recorded the value the page stated, the address of the page, the date it was read (UTC) and a short quote from the page that states the value. In this build the pages were read between September 28, 2026 and September 30, 2026.
The scope is a standard domestic LLC: not a professional, series or low-profit LLC, and not a company formed elsewhere that registers in the state. The fee is the one for standard processing, and for online filing where the online and paper fees differ. Where a page stated the paper fee or an expedite fee, it is in the note under the figure.
What was not used
Formation service companies, law firm articles, encyclopedias, search result snippets and memory were not sources. They were used, at most, to find the official page. A figure that could only be found on such a page is not here.
What "not read" means
"Not read" means that no official page stating the value was read. It does not mean zero, and it does not mean the state charges nothing. The official page may not have opened, or it may not state the value, or the question may be settled only in a statute that was not read. For an annual tax, "not read" is the usual answer when no official statement was found either way. Each state page gives the researcher's reason in words. In every table, "not read" sorts last, and in every ranking it is left out and listed under the ranking.
How these pages are built
The facts are one file for each jurisdiction, kept beside the build script. The script reads the files, checks them and writes all 56 pages of this desk. It types no fee. It rejects a value that comes without a source, and it rejects a source that is not on a government domain, has no read date or has no quote. A rejected value is printed as "not read". In this build the script rejected no value. Every count here, in the titles, the prose and the tables, is computed by the script from the accepted facts, so a count cannot drift from the table beside it.
The accepted facts are published as one file, llc-facts.json, with the field names the researchers used: fee_usd, frequency, due_kind, due_month_day, amount_usd and read_utc. A value that was not read is null in that file.
These pages were first published on llc.com.im on September 28, 2026. Since labs.llc build 546 they live here, in the Markets room, and every address llc.com.im had answers one permanent redirect to its page here: the same 56 pages, the same facts, the same state addresses and the same anchors.
What is missing
All 51 jurisdictions have been read.
Not legal advice, not tax advice
This desk states what a state's page said on the day it was read, and links to the page. It does not say which state to form a company in, what a company owes, or when a filing is late. Fees and rules change, some by statute on a date set in advance. The state's own page is the authority. For a decision, ask the state office or a licensed professional.
Privacy
The table, the filter, the sorting and the comparison run in your browser on the page you loaded. What you type in the filter box and which states you pick are not sent anywhere, and the picks on the compare page live only after the # of the address. No page here asks another site for anything. Like every page on labs.llc, these keep your paper or dark choice in your browser (labs_edition, in local storage and a cookie of the same name), the menu and the corner cards may keep their own settings there, and visits are counted with labs.llc's own Google Analytics tag. The privacy note says what the site stores and measures, and why.
Corrections
If a figure here differs from the state's page, the state's page is right. Write to labs@labs.llc with the address of the page and the figure will be read again.
The offices read
Fees change. The state's own page is the authority: open the source link beside a figure before you file or pay. This desk is a reading of public pages. It is not legal advice and it is not tax advice.
