Scope: a standard domestic LLC at standard processing speed, filed online where the online and paper fees differ. The figure shown is the one the cited page states; an add-on or a paper fee that the page also states is in the note under the figure, and nothing is computed from a note.

Utah LLC filing fee

$59 to file the Certificate of Organization

Note from the reading The schedule says all processing fees are nonrefundable. It does not give a separate paper fee. The schedule that the Division links as its current one is titled 'Fiscal Year 2026 Fee Schedule, Effective July 1, 2025'.

Utah LLC annual tax or franchise tax

not read

Not read. No official page read today states whether Utah charges LLCs an annual, franchise or privilege tax separate from the renewal fee. The State Tax Commission page opened was a statistics page about the corporate income tax and says nothing about LLCs.

Not read is not the same as no tax. It means no official page was read that says whether Utah charges an LLC an annual, franchise or privilege tax separate from the report fee.

Publication requirement

not read

Not read. No official page read today states a newspaper publication requirement for an LLC, or the absence of one.

Filing office and the state's own forms

Utah Division of Corporations and Commercial Code (Department of Commerce)

Looked for and not read

  • An official statement on whether an LLC owes any annual state tax separate from the renewal fee.
  • An official statement on newspaper publication for LLCs.
  • A fee schedule titled for fiscal year 2027 (from July 1, 2026): the Division's 'Fee Schedule' link still serves the FY2026 document.
  • The online filing system businessregistration.utah.gov refuses automated requests (403); it is linked from the Division's own pages and is listed as the filing link only.

The researcher's notes

Written by the researcher who read the pages, unedited. Field names such as due_kind are the names in this site's data file.

DOUBT: the fee schedule the Division links from every page is titled 'Fiscal Year 2026 Fee Schedule, Effective July 1, 2025'. The file's Last-Modified header is 11 Aug 2026, so it was touched after fiscal 2027 began, but its title was not changed; the fees may or may not have been revised for FY2027. The Division's older paper renewal form https://commerce.utah.gov/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/renewal.pdf also shows '$18.00' and calls the due date the 'Anniversary date of the entity'. corporations.utah.gov redirects to commerce.utah.gov/corporations/. Quotes from the PDF join the label line and the amount line, which the PDF sets on separate lines.

Fees change. The state's own page is the authority: open the source link beside a figure before you file or pay. This desk is a reading of public pages. It is not legal advice and it is not tax advice.
