Scope: a standard domestic LLC at standard processing speed, filed online where the online and paper fees differ. The figure shown is the one the cited page states; an add-on or a paper fee that the page also states is in the note under the figure, and nothing is computed from a note.
Texas LLC filing fee
$300 to file the Certificate of Formation (Form 205)
Note from the reading Form 205 itself also states 'Filing Fee: $300'. The fee schedule does not distinguish online from paper.
“Certificate of formation for a Texas entity (except nonprofit corporation, cooperative association, PA or LP) (Forms 201, 203, 205, 206) $300”
Texas LLC annual report and due date
fee not read for the Public Information Report (filed with the Comptroller as part of the annual franchise tax report), every year
No official page read today states a filing fee for the Public Information Report. It is not a Secretary of State filing; it is part of the franchise tax report filed with the Comptroller.
Note from the reading Texas LLCs do NOT file an annual report with the Secretary of State. The due date was read on the Comptroller's page https://comptroller.texas.gov/taxes/franchise/ : 'The annual franchise tax report is due May 15.' An entity at or below the no-tax-due threshold still files the Public Information Report (Form 05-102) or Ownership Information Report (Form 05-167), per https://comptroller.texas.gov/taxes/franchise/filing-requirements.php .

Texas LLC annual tax or franchise tax
By rule Franchise Tax. Not one amount: the rule below says who pays and how much
The rule A privilege tax on margin. For report years 2026 and 2027 the Comptroller's table gives: No Tax Due Threshold $2,650,000 (annualized total revenue); rate 0.375% for retail or wholesale, 0.75% for others; EZ Computation rate 0.331% for total revenue up to $20 million. An entity at or below the threshold owes no tax but must still file the information report.
Not a flat amount: see rule.
Note from the reading The threshold and rates vary by report year; the figures in the rule are the page's '2026 and 2027' table.

“The annual franchise tax report is due May 15.”
Publication requirement
Not required in the words of the page read
“Do I need to publish a notice before incorporating a business? No.”
Note from the reading The Secretary of State's formation FAQ answers 'No' to whether a notice must be published; the old newspaper-notice requirement was repealed in 2003. The question is worded for incorporating a business, not specifically for LLCs.

The researcher's notes
Written by the researcher who read the pages, unedited. Field names such as due_kind are the names in this site's data file.
Texas splits the two jobs between two offices: the Secretary of State takes the formation filing, the Comptroller takes the yearly report and the tax. The 'report' here is therefore the Public Information Report filed with the franchise tax report, same due date as the tax, one filing. The publication answer is sourced to the Secretary of State's FAQ, whose wording concerns incorporation generally; a reader may treat it as 'no publication requirement' but it does not name LLCs. No conflicts between official pages: the fee schedule and Form 205 both say $300.
