LLC annual report due dates by state

Fixed dates, by month

A report date on this calendar is the same for every LLC in that state. Reports and annual taxes are both shown, and a tax is marked. A date marked for a calendar-year LLC comes from a rule tied to the company's tax year: the date shown is where that rule lands for a company whose year is the calendar year, and the rule itself is in words beside it. Jurisdictions that share a date are listed together.

How the calendar is made

The build script reads the due date of each report and each annual tax from the facts files and places the fixed ones on the month they fall in. The rule in words beside a state is the researcher's plain statement of what the state's page says, and the state page quotes the source. A first report is often due on a different schedule from later ones: some states skip the year of formation, and the words of the rule say so where the page did.

A due date that falls on a weekend or a holiday, a grace period, a late fee and the date a state opens its filing window are not on this calendar unless the rule in words mentions them. Check the state's page before you rely on a date. The LLC cost by state table has the fee for each report, and the rankings put the yearly cost in order.

Fees change. The state's own page is the authority: open the source link beside a figure before you file or pay. This desk is a reading of public pages. It is not legal advice and it is not tax advice.
