Scope: a standard domestic LLC at standard processing speed, filed online where the online and paper fees differ. The figure shown is the one the cited page states; an add-on or a paper fee that the page also states is in the note under the figure, and nothing is computed from a note.

Fee changes on October 1, 2026

Louisiana LLC annual tax or franchise tax

Does not apply Corporation Franchise Tax (repealed)

This is what the page read says about Corporation Franchise Tax (repealed), in its own words. It is a statement about that one tax. It is not a statement that Louisiana charges an LLC no tax of any kind.

“The franchise tax has been repealed for franchise tax periods beginning on or after January 1, 2026.”
Read 2026-09-28 (UTC) at revenue.louisiana.gov/tax-education-and-faqs/faqs/income-tax-ref…

Note from the reading The Louisiana Department of Revenue states the franchise tax is repealed for periods beginning on or after January 1, 2026; it may still be owed for earlier periods. This covers the franchise tax only; no page was read that lists every other tax an LLC might owe (income tax is outside this schema).

Publication requirement

not read

Not read. No official page that was read states a publication rule either way.

Looked for and not read

  • A Secretary of State page (rather than the statute) stating the annual report due date: not found. The old URLs https://www.sos.la.gov/BusinessServices/FileBusinessDocuments/FileAnnualReport/Pages/default.aspx and https://www.sos.la.gov/BusinessServices/HTMLPages/LouisianaLLCFilingInstructions.htm return 404.

The researcher's notes

Written by the researcher who read the pages, unedited. Field names such as due_kind are the names in this site's data file.

TWO OFFICIAL FEE SCHEDULES, split by date, not a contradiction. The live fee page (https://www.sos.la.gov/business-services/forms-fee-schedule) still lists Articles of Organization $100 and Annual Reports $30 and carries the banner 'Effective October 1, 2026, the fees for the Commercial Division of the Secretary of State will increase in accordance with Act 921'. The new schedule (https://static.sos.la.gov/shared/fee_changes_2026.pdf, headed 'Effective 10/1/26') lists $125 and $35. This file was read on 2026-09-28, three days before the change, and records the NEW figures because they are what a reader will pay from 2026-10-01 onward; anyone filing on or before 2026-09-30 pays $100 / $30. If the site must show the fee in force on the read date, use 100 and 30 with the forms-fee-schedule URL as the source (quotes on that page: 'Articles of Organization-Louisiana Limited Liability Company #365 $100' and 'Annual Reports $30'). The live page's expedite fees ($30 and $50) also rise to $35 and $60. The report's due-date source is the Louisiana Legislature's statute page, a state government domain but not the filing office's own page. publication.required=false rests on absence in the official pages. PUBLICATION (orchestrator, 2026-09-28): recorded as not read. The researcher observed: No publication step appears on the Secretary of State's File Business Documents page or in the instructions on Form 365; this is read from absence, not from an explicit statement that none is required.

Fees change. The state's own page is the authority: open the source link beside a figure before you file or pay. This desk is a reading of public pages. It is not legal advice and it is not tax advice.
